Deskara: Cloud IT Service and Asset Management Platform

Deskara runs IT for a company from one fully cloud-based platform. It is made of modules: the helpdesk and self-service portal, assets and software licences, server monitoring with its own agent for Windows and Linux, domain and certificate expiry, joiner and leaver checklists, changes and problems, and workflows for approvals and tasks. People come in from Active Directory or Entra ID with their line managers, and can sign in with Microsoft. Each company switches on the modules it needs, and each person is given a role in each module, so people see exactly what their work needs. Everything is linked: a ticket shows the affected device and its history, a failing server opens its own ticket, a leaver's devices and licence seats come back with a tick. Each person arranges their own dashboard of live widgets, and every action is recorded, so the whole service is fully auditable.

Features

Everything in one platform

01

Integrated monitoring and alerts

Your monitoring tools open tickets automatically when a server, service or backup fails, and close them when it recovers.

02

Tickets from anywhere

Email, a self-service portal, monitoring alerts, or logged by your team, all in one queue.

03

SLAs and escalation

Response and resolution targets by priority, in working hours, with warnings and escalation by email before a breach.

04

Self-service portal

Users log requests, order from a service catalogue with approvals, follow progress and find answers without calling.

05

Knowledge base

Articles for users and internal notes for the team, searchable from every ticket.

06

Incidents, problems and changes

ITIL-style processes, with change approvals and a change calendar.

07

Time tracking

Time per ticket and client, downloadable each month for invoicing.

08

Fully anonymous surveys

Satisfaction surveys that cannot be traced back to the person who answered, so feedback is honest.

09

Graphs and metrics

Ticket volumes, SLA performance, backlog and survey results, with a table and CSV behind every chart.

10

Asset register and assignments

Every device, who has it and since when, with drag-and-drop allocation and a history of every change.

11

Discovery and the Lost bucket

Active Directory, Entra ID and network scans find devices; anything not seen for too long is flagged as lost.

12

Asset confirmations

Each person confirms the devices they hold, on a schedule, so the register stays true.

13

Software licences

Seats bought against seats given to people or devices, with renewal reminders and the key kept encrypted.

14

Lifecycle and costs

Purchase cost, book value, warranty-end alerts, repairs, and disposal with a data-wipe certificate reference.

15

QR labels

Print labels on A4 sheets; scanning one opens the asset, or logs a ticket for it.

16

Fully auditable

Every change to every ticket, asset and setting recorded with who, what and when, ready for auditors.

17

Modules and role-based access

Switch on the modules a company needs; give each person a role in each one, with a page that says exactly what every role grants.

18

Dashboards you arrange

Each person adds, removes and drags live widgets on their own dashboard and self-service page; it follows them to any device.

19

Domains and certificates

When each domain registration and website certificate runs out, checked daily, with a ticket before it lapses or when a certificate does not fit its name.

20

Joiners and leavers

A checklist for each person starting or leaving: their steps, plus the devices and licence seats that move, ticked off on a service request.

21

Workflows and approvals

Design approvals, tasks, notices and automatic changes step by step: line managers or roles approve, conditions choose the path, overdue steps are reminded and escalated, and every decision is recorded.

22

Automatic routing

Tickets assigned by category, priority or type the moment they are logged, through a workflow, so the right person sees them first.

23

Sign in with Microsoft

People sign in with their Microsoft work account through Entra ID, and Microsoft's own multi-factor rules apply.

24 Coming soon

Self-service password resets

Users reset their own Microsoft 365 passwords securely, verified with two-step sign-in.

25

Server monitoring

A small agent for Windows and Linux servers reports CPU, memory, disks, updates and services every minute, with graphs, and a ticket when something fails.

26 Coming soon

Network devices and flow

Routers, switches and firewalls watched over SNMP and SSH, and NetFlow, IPFIX and sFlow traffic, through a collector on site.

27

People from your directory

Accounts, departments, job titles and line managers kept in step with Active Directory or Entra ID.

28 Coming soon

Performance management

Objectives and KPIs, agreements with sign-off, reviews and weighted ratings, development plans, with employee, manager and HR dashboards.
